TSMC to start eMRAM production in 2018

Here is a great news for the whole MRAM community. As already communicated by major market study players (Yole, Coughlin associates...), there are signs that the MRAM market is evolving. In the near future, the memory market will dramatically change with fast non-volatile memories replacing volatile memory.

According to reports, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is aiming to start producing embedded MRAM chips in 2018 using a 22 nm process. This will be initial "risk production" to gauge market reception (source mram-info).
